    The MAP900-IRLM Series Insert Loss and Polarity Testing System, developed by Join-MU based on the MAP900-IRLB model, integrates a precision optical platform, high-definition image analysis system, large- area external probe power Meter, and precision motion mechanism into a multifunctional device. Specifically designed for testing multi-core MPO components with complex routing configuRations such as SN-MT, Shuffle-MPO, and optical flexible boards, it delivers comprehensive measurements including insertion loss, return loss, and polarity detection. Featuring automated testing platforms, customized fixtures, and optimized algorithms, this system significantly enhances testing efficiency for such intricate components.

    Rich Hardware and Software Configuration

    The MAP900-IRLM can integrate single-mode or multi-mode laser lightsources. Single-mode configurationstypically include wavelengths of 1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm, and 1625nm, while multi-mode options are 850nm and 1300nm. When combined with Jiangmu'sIntelligent optical platform and host computersoftware, it enablesthe development of automated testing systemsfor complex components. The software features multilingual interfaces, data acquisition and management capabilities, along with threshold determination and database storage functions. The device supportsremote operation via RS232/USB interfaces or local accessthrough APIsoftware.

    As shown in the figure above, the output terminal is mounted on an electric platform via a fixture. While only one standard fiber is currently connected to the input, it can actually be fully connected. The system enables automated motor control through software, allowing simultaneous insertion loss testing of multiple connectors. Furthermore, it utilizes the Over-Twist-Free Insertion Loss (OTDR) principle to perform return loss detection.

    As shown in the figure above, the output end is moved under the high-definition image detector through the fixture. Through the light source switching at the input end, the polarity/routing detection is realized by means of image analysis.
